This body of work is inspired by my engagement with children with Autism, and their families.
These interactive objects are made to be touched and used by children, and adults to make connections with the world around them.
They become part of a creative language.
A selection of these sculptures are currently exhibited at Galeria Labyrint, Lublin, Poland.
These sculptural lines are made from carefully selected fabrics, such as, velvet, suede and soft cottons. The lines are malleable so can be bent, folded, wrapped and twisted into different forms.
They have a quality of movement about them; almost dancing, they cast dramatic shadows. These sculptural lines shape and frame the space around them.
